Excellence in Cross-Border Compliance

This award recognises organisations that demonstrate outstanding expertise, rigour and accountability in managing cross-border compliance for multinational insurance programmes. It celebrates teams that lead on regulatory interpretation, governance and control, ensuring programmes meet legal, tax and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. The winning entrant will show how a proactive, detail-driven approach to compliance reduces risk, prevents regulatory breaches and underpins the safe, consistent delivery of global programmes.

Eligibility 

This award is open to brokers, carriers and networks involved in the delivery of global insurance programmes.

Entries may come from dedicated compliance functions or from broader multinational teams responsible for managing cross-border regulatory requirements in practice.

Criteria 

  • Regulatory expertise: Demonstrate your understanding of cross-border regulatory, legal and tax requirements, and how you apply these in practice across jurisdictions
  • Governance and oversight: Showcase how you structure and manage compliance through clear processes, controls and accountability
  • Practical execution: Provide evidence of how compliance is embedded into day-to-day programme delivery, including documentation and consistent application of standards
  • Cross-border coordination: Highlight how you work with local offices, partners or networks to ensure compliance is understood and applied consistently
  • Risk management: Evidence how your approach helps identify and mitigate compliance risks, supporting the smooth and secure delivery of global programmes

Entrants should: 

  • Select four entry criteria to address in your submission. You will be awarded a maximum of 10 points per section (40 points in total)
  • Draw on practical examples of when and how you have demonstrated the abilities, behaviours and knowledge referenced in the entry criteria
  • Demonstrate evidence from the last 12–18 months, up to the awards entry deadline
